Cushions

I could fill my home to the rafters with cushions!!!  I love designing cushions that will make someone smile every time they look at it.  Many of the cushions I design when I sit down to sketch it I try to think of where it will be..... in a childs bedroom, in a study, or a special chair in the lounge.

I hope every person that purchases one of my cushions knows how much love goes into making every single one of them, I never design one cushion the same....the design maybe the same but the applique fabric will always be different. Thats what makes Two Turtle Doves unique every piece is a piece of art, no one will ever have the same!!

Today I will be making cashmere and linen hearts for Valentines Day------ooooo posh!!!!

Roller girl

Rollergirl

'Rollergirl' is my favourite piece at the moment. Loving the contrast of the metallic leather roller skates against the linen.  Here I have used 'Liberty of London' on one of the girls and grey cashmere on the other. I wanted them to look different though the same. The memory visual of this piece was influenced of memories of out rollerskating as a child..... I was always the one with the bright whacky clothing where my most of my friends were always a little more reserved and matching!!!  I would have loved a Liberty style print tshirt as a child.....so now I have one :)
